The 2017 Taste of Macon Bibb Follies is slated for April 8 at the Historic Douglass Theater. The variety show will feature performances from Mayor Robert Reichert, some of our commissioners, local leaders, fire department officials and more! It’s all to benefit the Macon Bibb County Youth Commission. The students in the commission get to learn up close how their local, state, and national governments operate through trips, programs, workshops, and activities.
The Simple Temporal Problem (STP) is a popular representation for solving centralized scheduling and planning problems. When scheduling agents are associated with different users who need to coordinate some of their activities, however, considerations such as privacy, autonomy, and scalability suggest solving the joint STP in a more distributed manner. A variety of studies have shown that group identification (a sense of belonging to one’s social group, coupled with a sense of commonality with the group’s members) is linked to high levels of satisfaction with life (SWL). Utilizing data from Wave 1 of the Health in Groups project, 3,829 participants from both Scotland and Italy completed a questionnaire assessing their identification with their family, their local community, and a group of their choice, as well as their level of SWL. Higher identification with each group predicted higher SWL.
